Kitazoe is a skilled Gunner, being a member of the B-Rank No. 2 Unit, formerly an A-Rank team. He boasts a very high range for a Gunner, and his fighting style is similar to that of a Sniper: with his Operator's assistence, he finds spots where he can bombard the opponents undisturbed. His role is to prevent stagnation on the battlefield by creating confusion, allowing Kageura to engage in close quarters combat. He has also shown to have some aptitude at strategy when he served as a commentator.

Normal Random Meteor Classification Gunner

Meteor appears to be Kitazoe's preferred Trigger, which he fires through either one or two grenade launchers. His Triggers and skill make him less susceptible than most to the negative effects of unfavorable terrains. He specializes in high-angle shooting, the parabolic trajectory described by his bullets allowing him to target specific areas and opponents without a sightline. Thanks to his high range, he can spread chaos on the battlefield and destroy enemy hiding spots from afar, forcing his opponents out into the open and within Kageura's range. He has displayed the ability to bombard a general location while looking in a different direction. His explosive bullets can also be used to create escape routes for himself and his allies, as well as to self-destruct in an attempt to take out close-ranged fighters he would be unable to defeat otherwise. Kitazoe is first seen using Meteor in Chapter 113 (Episode 69 in the anime). Random Meteor (適当炸裂弾(てきとうメテオラ), Tekitō Meteora ?): Kitazoe conjures two grenade launchers and fires a Meteor round at each opponent within range. By his own admission, hit probability is low when he lacks a direct line of sight and has to rely on Radar instead. The whistling sound made by the bullets as they travel through the air can alert his targets, further lowering the odds of a lethal shot.

Kitazoe fires Asteroid through an assault rifle which appears bulkier than the other models, but which might boast an even higher rate of fire than most. It appears to be his Trigger of choice for mid-ranged shootouts as well as when the environment or the presence of Snipers discourage the use of Meteor. He was able to outgun Tatsuya Kuruma before the latter turned the tables by switching to Full Attack. In locations which prevent the use of Random Meteor, Kitazoe conjures his assault rifle at the very start of the match and maintains it in existence even when not actively using it. He normally wields it with both hands, although he can switch to only one in a pinch. Kitazoe is first seen using Asteroid in Chapter 167.

Classification Optional	A Trigger that prevents the user's trion signature from being detected by Radar, therefore concealing their position. Kitazoe seems to rarely activate it, as he did not use it even when chased by Ninomiya, but only to relocate to a suitable shooting position after the Shooter stopped chasing him. He is first seen using Bagworm in Chapter 114 (Episode 69 in the anime).

Kitazoe summons his Shield to protect himself while engaging other ranged fighters, casting it in its default hexagonal shape and regular size, which is large enough to guard his upper body and part of his head. Since he supports his assault rifle with his right shoulder, that side of his body is more exposed to enemy fire, although he can fully retreat behind his Shield if needed. He can also cast it remotely to protect his allies. Kitazoe is first seen using Shield in Chapter 167.
