Ikoma leads a unit named after him that is the current No.03 in B-Class, and is a stable long term member of the upper B-Class group.[1] Furthermore he is one of the candidates for Fūjin. Individually, despite having been beaten by Jin in the past,[2] Ikoma is a highly skilfull Attacker, noted to be one of top Kogetsu users in Border. As a testament of his power, he holds the title of No.06 Attacker.[3] In particular, he is regarded as the best in Border with Senkū, due to his unique range and dexterity.[4] He has been taught the basics of iai by his grandfather.[5] His reactions and coordination are good enough to allow him to intercept a frontal Lightning shot.[6] He managed to defeat an injured Yūma,[7] although the two were evenly matched earlier on when Ikoma had Mizukami's support.[8] Ikoma was capable of anticipating and countering Yūma's evasion tactic with Grasshopper after seeing it only once, which earned him the praise of his opponent.[7]

As the no. 6 Attacker,[3] Ikoma is one of the most skilled Kogetsu users in Border, as well one of only seven Attackers whose points exceed 10,000.[9] In terms of pure swordsmanship, without the use of other Triggers, he is roughly evenly matched[3] against a rusty Hyuse,[10] who took note of his superiority over Shinnosuke Tsuji.[11] Ikoma was also able to fight on par with Yūma for a prolonged amount of time with Mizukami's assistance,[12][8][13] although the other Attacker instantly gained the upper hand after relocating to a wire zone.[14] He is capable of wielding Kogetsu effectiely with only one hand,[15][10][16] presumably suggesting that his proficiency offset the sword's non-negligible weight.[17] He may switch to a two-handed grip to defend,[8][15] although he can parry also with a one-handed one.[15][16] He keeps the blade conjured at all times.[18] Ikoma is first seen using Kogetsu in Chapter 150 (Episode 82 in the anime). |

Ikoma was extolled by Jin as the best Senkū user in Border. He frequently scores points with it in rank wars,[4] and it is integrated so seamlessly in his fighting style that activating it when the opportunity presents itself comes naturally to him.[19] Combined with his skill, this extremely powerful Trigger enables him to bypass any and all defenses offered by Border Triggers[20] as well as environmental obstacles, making him a threat even without a direct line of sight.[21][22] Ikoma is one of the few Senkū users capable of executing two slashes[23] within the standard activation time of one second,[24] increasing his chances of hitting the target. However, he shows a marked preference for resorting to his signature variation of the attack,[25][26][27][28][21][29][30] selecting the regular duration only when altering the terrain significantly can put him at risk.[24] Apart from launching lethal offensives, Ikoma's extended Senkū can in fact be utilized to clear away structures,[29] and to prompt his opponents to move in range of his allies.[31] Ikoma is first seen using Senkū in Chapter 157 (Episode 84 in the anime).
Ikoma Senkū (生駒 旋空, Ikoma Senkū ?): By activating Senkū for a mere 0.2 seconds,[32] Ikoma can extend the reach of his Kogetsu up to 40 meters instead of the usual 15.[33] This complex technique, which requires him to swing his sword extremely quickly while synchronizing the slash with the activation of Senkū,[32] grants him unparalleled range among Attackers,[33] as he is the only agent capable of using it.[32] He is consistently shown executing the attack while drawing his sword from a stationary position,[25][34][35][13][30][22][36] a routine that may alert his opponents as to his intentions and facilitate evasion[34][30] or even allow them to strike preemptively.[37] In round eight of the current season of rank wars he first showed off the ability to connect Ikoma Senkū even after being launched into the air.[38] Ikoma is first seen using this technique in Chapter 153 (Episode 84 in the anime). |

Classification Defense

Ikoma casts Shield in its default hexagonal shape to defend against Gunner Triggers.[39][40][41][42][43] His Shields are generally wide enough to comfortably protect his head and torso[39][40][41], but he may compress them slightly and resort to Full Guard to guard his entire body when anticipating a particularly powerful volley. In round eight, he activated Full Guard after feigning an Ikoma Senkū[43], presumably in order to retaliate right after the target launches their counter. Ikoma is first seen using Shield in Chapter 187 (Episode 97 in the anime). |
